Bamboo Energy is proud to have led the Flexibility and Demand Aggregation Working Group responsible for the publication of a new guide on implicit demand-side flexibility—a topic that is becoming increasingly essential for accelerating the energy transition.
This guide provides a clear and practical overview of how implicit flexibility can help both individuals and organisations reduce energy costs, improve self-consumption and mitigate demand peaks. As the need for a more resilient and efficient energy system grows, understanding this form of flexibility becomes an invaluable tool for consumers and businesses alike.
Implicit demand-side flexibility allows users to adjust their energy consumption patterns without direct external activation, responding naturally to market signals such as price variations or tariff structures. This behaviour not only contributes to system efficiency but also enables consumers to benefit economically while supporting a cleaner energy landscape.
Our goal with this publication is simple: to help people and companies understand how implicit flexibility works and how it can be applied effectively in everyday operations and energy management.
We would like to extend our gratitude to A3E for leading this valuable initiative and bringing together an exceptional group of 28 companies to create this guide. This collaboration reflects the power of collective expertise and shared commitment to improving the energy sector.
Working together enables us to advance faster and develop solutions that make the energy transition more accessible, efficient and sustainable for everyone.
