Bamboo Energy wins the metropolitans 2022 award!
Cristina Corchero, founder and CTO, collected the €6,000 award for the most innovative and technological business initiative.
The Cornellá auditorium hosted the Metropolitan Business Innovation Awards 2022 gala, rewards that distinguish the best innovative and technological initiatives in three different categories: Industry 4.0, Commerce and Tourism; and best project led by women.
Bamboo Energy was chosen in the third category and won a prize of €6,000, as well as a special award courtesy of Telefónica consisting of two tickets to the Mobile World Congress 2023 and a tour of the Innovation Centre and Wayra Barcelona.
This first edition of the awards aims to recognise the best business initiatives in the metropolitan area of Barcelona, organised by the Procornella Business Centre and the Barcelona Metropolitan Area, which, as well as co-organising the event, is the entity providing the prize money.
More than a hundred companies registered for the call last May, of which only 9 (3 per category) were the finalists who made the pitch on 28 June and underwent the final decision from which the winners emerged.
For Bamboo Energy, this award recognises not only the effort made since the company was founded, but also a clear affirmation that the commitment to technological solutions that enable a just energy transition is today more necessary than ever.
