Bamboo Energy at the 1st Edition of the \u201cDecarbonising Demand\u201d Forum in Barcelona<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Last week, our CTO and Co-Founder Cristina Corchero, PhD<\/strong>, took part in the 1st Edition of the Forum \u201cDecarbonisation of Demand: The Role of Renewable Energy\u201d.\u201d<\/strong>, organised by El Peri\u00f3dico<\/em> in Barcelona - a key event<\/strong> for discussing the present and future of the energy transition.<\/p>\n

Cristina joined the expert panel on Renewable Electricity<\/strong>, moderated by Javier Alberto Mu\u00f1oz Gonz\u00e1lez<\/strong> (APPA Renovables), alongside leading sector representatives Xavier Olivella<\/strong> (Quantica Renovables) and Bel\u00e9n L\u00f3pez Flores<\/strong> (Nostrum Group).<\/p>\n

Flexibility as the Backbone of the Energy Transition<\/strong><\/h2>\n

During her intervention, Cristina highlighted the essential role of digitalisation<\/strong> in enabling effective electrical flexibility.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cFlexibility is not about consuming less - it's about consuming better\u201d.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

She explained how intelligent storage management<\/strong> can increase performance by up to 35%<\/strong>, while also opening the door to new revenue streams<\/strong> through participation in adjustment markets - something already happening in countries like Portugal<\/strong> and France<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Cristina also stressed the need for \u201cindustrial education\u201d<\/strong>, The EU's strategy for electrifying and flexibilising their processes is based on the following principles.<\/p>\n

A Clear Message: Flexibility Enables a Cleaner, More Competitive and Resilient System<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Across the discussion, one idea stood out:
If we truly want to electrify, we need flexibility - and the technology is already ready.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Flexibility is the tool that will allow us to build an electricity system that can support renewable integration, maintain competitiveness and enhance system resilience.<\/p>\n
