On April 9th, in Manel Sanmarti, CEO of Bamboo Energy, took part in the Cas d’èxit (Success Stories) podcast VIA Business, presented by Ana Maria González Franco.
During the conversation, he reviewed Bamboo's trajectory: from its origins in the research world to the present day, in full European-level scaling phase. But, above all, he focused on the key concepts that will define the future of the energy system.

Avui, Bamboo evoluciona cap a scale-up amb un objectiu clar: fer possible un sistema energètic 100% renovable. Un repte que no es pot assolir sense flexibilitat.
In a context where the penetration of renewables is increasing and the system is becoming ever more variable and less predictable, energy flexibility ceases to be optional and becomes indispensable.
This is where Bamboo comes in:
«We use artificial intelligence and mathematical models to predict and optimise energy consumption in real time, adapting it to the availability and price of energy.»
Because the future isn't about consuming less, but about consuming better.
Being part of this new generation of consumers not only allows for optimisation of consumption but can also generate savings of up to 15% and directly contribute to the decarbonisation of the system.
♻️ The message is clear:
«The energy system must be decarbonised, no matter what. And to do this, we need massive tools, where artificial intelligence and mathematical optimisation will play a key role.»
However, a change in mentality is also needed; we cannot continue to be passive consumers. The consumer of the future will be active, informed, and a participant in the energy system.
