Through ACCIÓ, the Barcelona startup participates for the first time in the 4YFN area of the event on February 28 and March 1.
Bamboo Energy is one of the 15 Catalan companies selected by ACCIÓ (the agency for the competitiveness of the company of the Department of Business and Labor of the Generalitat de Catalunya) to be part of its pavilion in the 4 Years From Now (4YFN) area, intended to support startups, investors and companies to connect and launch new businesses together.
As Cristina Corchero, CTO of Bamboo Energy, says, “the MWC and in particular, the 4YFN, is the benchmark event for technology startups and offers an excellent ecosystem for the current needs of Bamboo Energy”. According to Corchero, “for a technology company like ours, which offers a software platform based on artificial intelligence and optimization algorithms for the energy sector, it is the ideal place to look for clients, technology alliances and investors.”
For this reason, Bamboo Energy will have a space inside stand 6C32.5A, promoted by ACCIÓ, the first two days of the fair. Likewise, on Tuesday, March 1, Cristina Corchero will participate in the 4YFN Discovery Stage pitch session.
With its participation in the Mobile World Congress, the startup created in 2020 aims to “find technological partners to reinforce our value proposition and establish commercial alliances, meet and contact potential investors necessary for our business and growth plan, and finally, contact potential clients and make ourselves known in the sector”, explains its founder.
In 2021 Bamboo Energy received a direct grant of 75,000 euros from ACCIÓ’s Startup Capital line, aimed at early-stage technology startups. An endowment that contributed to financing the more than 250,000 euros of investment in technological products and talent that the company made during the past year.
