November 2025 brought two of the most important events of the year for the energy sector — Enlit Europe in Bilbao and GENERA in Madrid — and Bamboo Energy was proud to play an active role in both.
Across these two fairs, a clear theme emerged: the future of the energy system will be flexible, digital and storage-driven.
This year’s Enlit highlighted the growing importance of battery flexibility, storage monetisation and AI-driven optimisation. These topics sit at the heart of Bamboo Energy’s mission, and the event offered the perfect platform to exchange perspectives with clients, partners and innovators from across Europe.
A special moment for us was the Bamboo Energy Challenge with students from the InnoEnergy Master’s programme. They explored forward-looking models such as:
Flexible Storage PPAs
Batteries-as-a-Service
Customer-centric storage models for C&I
Their work brought fresh ideas to some of the key questions shaping the flexibility landscape of tomorrow.
We left Bilbao energised by the quality of the conversations and the clear momentum toward smarter, more dynamic grid solutions.
At GENERA, our team helped advance the technical discussion around demand-side flexibility, storage, aggregation and the electrification of demand.
Across the different sessions, Bamboo Energy shared insights on:
how advanced storage strategies enhance flexibility,
the evolving role of the prosumer with behind-the-meter batteries,
the importance of aggregators in mobilising consumer flexibility, and
the growing contribution of energy communities beyond shared self-consumption.
These conversations reflected the sector’s growing consensus: flexibility is now an essential pillar of the energy transition, enabling businesses, SMEs and communities to become active system participants.
Both Enlit and GENERA affirmed the same conclusion:
Flexibility, storage and digital platforms are redefining how Europe will manage its energy system — and the technology is ready.
For Bamboo Energy, November 2025 was not just about attending events, but about reinforcing our mission:
to empower companies and communities to unlock new value streams while contributing to a cleaner, smarter and more resilient energy future.
Thank you to everyone who met with us in Bilbao or Madrid.
We look forward to continuing this journey together.
